Batkivshchyna leader Yulia Tymoshenko hopes the most active citizens and organizations will contribute to the project “Ukraine in the Third Millennium” the outcome of which will be a package of key legislation to be adopted following the next parliamentary elections.

"This isn’t a slogan or a program that everyone has to enjoy participating in. This is very painstaking and intellectual work. Those who want to be part of the process will be provided with the technical means to do so," Yulia Tymoshenko said during a press conference in Rivne, BYuT press office reported.

"We think that such discussions can take place through an online resource that will be well structured and allow users to discuss draft laws, debate and develop concepts for laws."

Yulia Tymoshenko said this is a way to develop a strategy for Ukraine’s development.

"System-forming documents aren’t discussed with intellectual circles and their opinions aren’t really taken into account. All the work is done either in the Presidential Administration, party offices, or bowels of the Verkhovna Rada, where everything is done far from professionally."

According to Yulia Tymoshenko, the launch of the project "Ukraine in the Third Millennium" will be announced soon.

"Every time hope is placed on a leader it ends in fiasco, defeat, disappointment and disbelief…I don’t want another five years like we had after the Orange Revolution. We need to rely not on leaders, but on ideas and a proper system for building the country. And we need to envision it before the elections, not after."
