PM does not exclude the elimination of tax police as a part of the tax reform, as Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said in Helsinki.

Azarov underlined that he is a supporter of liberalization of Ukraine's tax legislation. He also stands against penalties for tax legislation breach, but offers to use other economic measures to influence offenders. "But these tools must be well prepared, thoughtful, and only then we can put on the elimination of the tax police," the Head of the Government noted.

Moreover, Mykola Azarov said that lower tax rates could reduce income taxes to the State Budget. Therefore, he said, taxpayers should approach this issue responsibly. "Reduction of tax rates entails a reduction of revenue. There must be a transitional period during which the taxpayers have to manage the State Budget revenues, since these funds go to the reserved budget expenditures," he said.
