President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych and President of Russia Dmitry
Medvedev held an informal meeting at the official residence place of
the President of Russia Zavidovo.

The two Heads of State have
discussed their participation in the International Motor Rally and
discussed the prospects of cross-border cooperation.

Bureaucracy in Ukraine and Russia prevents people living in border regions from interacting normally, said Viktor Yanukovych.
In addition to vehicles border crossing the states should also
address this problem of building more than 100 pedestrian crossings at
the Ukrainian-Russian border, President Yanukovych said.

The Heads of State agreed to continue the dialogue on border cooperation at their meeting in Gelendzhik (Russia) on October 4.

"We will set the issue of regional cooperation going," President
Yanukovych said. In addition, the two Presidents have discussed the
possibility of cooperation during Euro 2012 in Ukraine, 2014 Winter
Olympics in Sochi, and 2022 Winter Olympics in the Carpathians suggested
 by Ukraine.
