He recalled that heavy rains have recently hit the country's western regions that may result in raising the water level in the rivers.
"I would ask everyone to do all necessary to be ready to prevent possible floods," Kliuyev emphasized.
He added that this year Ukraine has got a powerful experience in flood recovery and firefighting efforts, and not only in Ukraine, but in the neighboring Russia as well.
The official also called on the Interior Ministry, the Environmental Protection Ministry and the Emergencies Ministry to prevent the excavation of building stones in the rivers that leads to demolition of the river bed.
