The activists demanded that the IMF hold urgent consultations with the Ukrainian government and representatives of Ukraine's trade unions in order to discuss the country's credit conditions and the removal of unjustified social restrictions, National radio reported.

The Trade Union Federation, which is led by Vasyl Khara, a lawmaker from the Party of Regions, blamed the IMF for a rise in natural gas prices for the public, " freezing" of salaries to four million employees of public institutions, and increase in the retirement age for women stipulated in a new memorandum of cooperation between the government and the IMF.
