The cost of reconstruction of the National Sports Complex "Olympic" in
Kyiv may grow up to 4-4.3 billion UAH (1 USD - 7.9 UAH), general
director of the complex, Jitess Arquissandash told a briefing Thursday,

According to him, at the completion of one stage of reconstruction of the NSC, the cost of the completed phase is recounted. This is the reason why they constantly update their estimates of construction, he said adding, at present they do not know an exact cost and may only roughly estimate it.
We have lost 2 years; we are constrained in time; in 6 months we did what had to be done in 3 years; and less than a year is left until putting the stadium into service, he complained.
Portuguese Jitess Arquissandash was appointed director general of NSC Olympic in April 2010. Previously, he worked on the construction of Donbass-Arena in Donetsk and the football arena in Lisbon, Estadio da Luz.
In early August, the Cabinet increased the cost of reconstruction of the main arena for UEFA Euro 2012 from 2.115 billion to 3.006 billion UAH.
Reconstruction of the stadium began on December 1, 2008. It is scheduled to launch the complex in June 2011.
General contractors for the reconstruction project are holding company Kyivmiskbud, AK Engineering (both Kyiv-based) and Master-Profi (Dnipropetrovsk).
