Ukrainian police officers, doctors and customs officers who will be involved in hosting the finals of the Euro 2012 European Football Championship will pass special courses in the main European languages, Deputy Prime Minister for Euro 2012 Borys Kolesnikov has said, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

"Special language training programs for certain categories of citizens, in particular, the police, doctors, and customs officers, are currently being prepared. Apart from the English language courses that will be organized for the mentioned categories, 6,000 experts will study the main European languages - French, German, Spanish, Italian and Polish," he said during his visit to Lviv on Wednesday, where an UEFA delegation headed by UEFA General Secretary Gianni Infantino is on an inspection visit, the vice-premier's press service reported.

He also said that first and foremost, it was necessary to train the personnel who will manage constructed facilities, particularly airports and stadiums.

Kolesnikov also noted that as part of preparations for Euro 2012, all roads in host cities (Kharkiv, Lviv, Donetsk and Kyiv) would be reconstructed in line with European standards.
