Ukraine's Minister for Family, Youth and Sports
Ravil Safiullin believes that the authorities and media have to
intensify efforts on promoting the birth and upbringing of two children
in the family, especially the young one, and this should become a norm
of life in the country, the minister said on Thursday.
"A comparative analysis of census data shows that the number of families who are limited to only one child increases from year to year," the minister noted. According to the Department for Family and Gender Policy of the Ministry for Family, Youth and Sports, today the most common type of families with children under the age of 18 years in Ukraine is, like over the past years, the one-child families.
