Today, while visiting Khortytsia National Preserve, President Viktor Yanukovych has told the journalists that he praises the Israeli decision to cancel visa requirements for Ukrainian citizens and added that our country would obviously make a counter move.
"We wanted to solve this issue, and this is only the first sign. Undoubtedly, in the nearest future, most likely at the next meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, we will also take such decision that will be later ratified in the Parliament," he said.
The President has also reminded that Ukraine continues negotiating visa free travel with the European Commission. "We work with the European Commission in order to initiate implementation of Ukraine’s action plan providing visa free travel for Ukrainian citizens," said Viktor Yanukovych.
According to the Head of State, Ukraine can get the above-mentioned action plan in September.
