President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych has left for Zaporizhia region with a working visit, where he is scheduled to chair the meeting of the Regional Committee on Economic Reforms.
In Zaporizhia, the President examined the building site of new bridges across the Dnipro River and visited Zaporizhia hydroelectric power plant.
Speaking to construction
workers, he expressed confidence that the project catches up with its
schedule by the end of the year. He also promised 100% financing to the
project.
The draft plan of
construction of the Dnipro Diver crossings was approved by the State
Committee for Construction and Architecture in 2002. It was planned that in
eight years two bridges across the Dnipro would be built including
junctions and exits.
Viktor Yanukovych is also planned to visit the historical-cultural complex "Zaporizhska Sich" on the island of Khortytsia.
