Ukrainian Deputy Environment Minister Bohdan Presner, whom the Prosecutor General's Office arrested on June 1 for taking a large bribe, has been dismissed by the government for violating a civil servant oath of office, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said while opening a Cabinet of Ministers meeting on Wednesday.
Azarov said that government members should realize the fact of a serious personnel mistake. He said that he would not tolerate corruption in executive government agencies.
"There will be no political indulgences. If they have no conscience, let them have fears," he said, UKRINFORM reported.
Presner was arrested while taking a bribe of USD 200,000 for rendering assistance in the appointment of a head of a regional level.
