Russia has not yet given any specific details on Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin's offer to merge Naftogaz and Gazprom, Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov told a press conference in Kyiv on Thursday.
"The Ukrainian government has not received yet any concrete proposals from Russia on this issue, except for Putin's offer, made at a press conference," he said.
As reported, Putin proposed uniting Naftogaz and Gazprom at a press conference following a meeting of the Russian-Ukrainian intergovernmental committee in Sochi on April 30.
Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller said that Gazprom, Naftogaz Ukrainy and the Russian and Ukrainian energy ministries would discuss the merger of the two companies after the May holidays.
