On Wednesday, May 12, the Verkhovna Rada will hear a report from Mykola Azarov’s government on the progress of talks between Ukraine and Russia regarding agreements that are to be signed on May 17 during Russian President Dmitry Medvedev’s visit to Ukraine.

A corresponding draft resolution was submitted for consideration by parliament by Roman Zvarych, a minister in the opposition cabinet.

Batkivshchyna leader Yulia Tymoshenko had earlier stated that society has the right to know the context of the documents that are planned to be signed on May 17. A rally is being held outside the parliament building in support of this demand by the opposition.
