Yanukovych changed his mind on fignting corruption

President Viktor Yanukovych has approved the decision of the parliament to postpone the adopting of the package of anti-corruption laws and signed a corresponding resolution, according to the presidential website.

The document postpones the enactment of laws on the principles of preventing and countering corruption and the responsibility of companies for corrupt offences from April 1, 2010 until January 1, 2011.

On March 26, President Yanukovych's aide Olena Lukash said the head of state ordered 'to work out and provide him with an anticorruption bill till April 22, 2010 to further submit it to the Verkhovna Rada'.
