A statement by IMF Resident Representative in Ukraine Max Alier about first signs of economic stabilization in Ukraine is, first of all, the assessment of Yulia Tymoshenko's government, according to the Prime Minister of the opposition government, BYuT faction deputy head, Serhiy Sobolev.

"Today the new government is trying to reverse the Yulia Tymoshenko government’s achievements, requesting handouts from the IMF to cover the budget deficit," Serhiy Sobolev said.

The head of the opposition government noted that the team of Viktor Yanukovych and Mykola Azarov continues to substitute structural reforms with populism.

As reported, International Monetary Fund Resident Representative for Ukraine Max Alier stated today that "we are seeing the first signs of economic recovery in Ukraine following the successful stabilization of the economic situation, which resulted from cooperation with international economic institutions."
