President Viktor Yanukovych and  Prime Minister Mykola Azarov are inclined to carry out reforms, Deputy Prime Minister Serhiy Tihipko addressed the 6th Annual Investment Conference in Kyiv Thursday, according to UKRINFORM.

He said the current difficult situation in the economy is primarily triggered by three factors: incomplete reforms, weak export diversification and permanent conflicts in the former government.

In particular, the question is about drafting a realistic budget, reducing government spending on all directions, a balanced budget of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine and the Pension Fund.

Additionally, in the short term perspective of the government, according to Tihipko, - improving the investment climate, reducing 30% of all types of licensed activity, reducing inspection bodies.

He also expressed hope that before the end of the year the government will manage to draft a Tax Code and ease the tax burden on small business.
