Delivering a speech in the parliament with the analysis of key directions of work of the present
government, Mykola Azarov, Member of Parliament from the Party of
Regions, answered the question about the policy carried out by the
Tymoshenko Cabinet of Ministers regarding small and middle business, as
well as the measures the Party of Regions members are going to
undertake to support business.
"There are no laws which allow to collect taxes in advance. It is the breakdown of legislation to be answered for and I think they will be held accountable. There is no other way. We should tell businessmen explicitly that no one has a right to act this way. Neither they nor we," he said.
"The second point. At this tribune I declare officially that our promise to provide small business with tax holidays is not an election pledge, because the elections came and passed. Tax holidays for small business is the only way of taking this sphere out of deep crisis it is currently in," Azarov added.
"Therefore we will approve a number of laws and implement the concept of tax holidays for small business," he promised, official information server of the Party of Regions reported.
