People’s Deputy Serhiy Mishchenko (BYuT) has announced that the Yulia
Tymoshenko Bloc will not attend Viktor Yanukovych’s swearing-in
ceremony, according to the official website.
"We will not attend the inauguration. This is not our holiday and
we were not invited. Yanukovych is sending invitations to individuals
and political forces. We have not received invitations," Serhiy
Mishchenko told journalists in the Higher Administrative Court of
Ukraine on Saturday.
He also underscored that Yulia Tymoshenko’s withdrawal of her
lawsuit against the Central Election Commission shouldn’t be viewed as
a sign of weakness. "Yulia Tymoshenko didn’t give up. This is only the
beginning. She simply showed that she doesn’t want to be part of this
farce," he added.
Yulia Tymoshenko withdrew her lawsuit after the Higher
Administrative Court refused to grant her key petitions for a recount
at certain polling stations in the Crimea and information about the
State Voter Registry, which included duplicates and names of the
deceased.
