Any actions taken related to the inauguration of Viktor Yanukovych will
be seen as an attempt to usurp state power, Yulia Tymoshenko’s campaign
manager, Oleksandr Turchynov, said, Tymoshenko's official web-site reported.
"The Party of Region statement that they have allegedly been given permission to hold Viktor Yanukovych’s inauguration on February 25 is false," Oleksandr Turchynov said.
He recalled that the Higher Administrative Court of Ukraine, after receiving Yulia Tymoshenko’s appeal, suspended the Central Election Commission’s protocol on the official election results. "This means that at the moment there is no legitimate protocol on Viktor Yanukovych’s victory and a person can’t be announced President of Ukraine if there is no corresponding decision by the CEC," he explained.
"Every person with a brain understands that this would mean that anyone could be inaugurated because there’s no document establishing the results of the vote," he added.
Oleksandr Turchynov urged everyone to wait for the final ruling by the Higher Administrative Court and then take appropriate actions based on the court’s decision. He hopes the Party of Regions "can hold back their fear and not interfere with the court, as was the case several days ago when Yulia Tymoshenko was submitting her complaint."
