The Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc will follow European standards to establish reliable results of the second round of the presidential elections.

"We’re not afraid of a recount. We’re a European political force. If our opponents consider themselves European, then let’s stick to European traditions. If there is doubt, there exists a European civilized mechanism called a recount," BYuT Deputy Serhiy Vlasenko said today during a press conference.

The MP emphasized that in line with European norms, BYuT’s legal departments is submitting all the necessary appeals to the relevant courts and the Central Election Commission. "I emphasize that we are appealing to the courts," he said.

He noted that BYuT is well aware that the CEC is politically biased in favor of the Party of Regions and therefore can’t properly respond to the appeals filed by BYuT. "But we will fight till the end. We have sufficient evidence of violations in eastern and southern Ukraine."

As reported, during an earlier press conference in the Verkhovna Rada, Serhiy Vlasenko provided evidence of systematic and large-scale violations in the Zaporizhzia, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk oblasts and Crimea. "We are deeply convinced that there were systemic violations in all regions of eastern and southern Ukraine," he said.
