Holding democratic and fair election
will speed up Ukraine's nearing to the European Union, Ukrainian
Foreign Minister Petro Poroshenko and Catherine Ashton, the High
Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy, have said
this in London, UKRINFORM learned from the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs.
The parties emphasized that a crucial task in Ukraine-EU relations for the nearest future should be conclusion of the Association Agreement, including deep and comprehensive free trade area, as well as Ukraine's sectoral integration with the EU.
Ashton underlined that development of relations with Ukraine will be one of the priorities of her external policy activity at a new post.
She expressed satisfaction over Ukraine's involvement in stabilization processes in Afghanistan, as well as Ukraine's active stance at the London Conference on Afghanistan.
