Severe frosts, and in
some cases the big number of flu cases, halted
lessons at 8,965 Ukrainian schools, which is 45.6% of their total number, First
Deputy Education and Science Minister Oleksandr Hrebelnyk told a news
briefing.
He says about 29% of pupils do not go to classes thus.
The study halt involved nearly all regions except for Zakarpattia, Kyiv region and the city of Kyiv, Hrebelnyk says.
At the same time the deputy minister noted that there is no need to conduct studies on Saturdays after the quaranteen. According to him, there is also no changes in the schedule of external independent testing for school graduates.
