Presidential candidate and current Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has officially offered the post of prime minister to Serhiy Tihipko if she wins the second round of the country's presidential election.

"Having analyzed the programs of all presidential candidates in the first round, having studied all the suggested reforms and their consequences, I want to officially offer the post of prime minister to Serhiy Tihipko after my victory in the presidential election. His strategic program of economic stabilization and reform, as well as my economic program, mostly coincide," she said.

Tymoshenko noted that she is waiting for Tihipko's answer before the second round of the presidential election. "I count on that he gives a clear answer so the people can decide on the run-off vote," the PM said.

Tihipko said earlier that he would not support any presidential candidate in the second round of the presidential election.

Tihipko came third in the first round of the January 17 presidential election (13.05%).

Tymoshenko and Regions Party leader Viktor Yanukovych will face a run-off vote on February 7.
