IBF, IBO and WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko is hoping to fight at least three times in 2010. The Ukrainian boxer is planning to defend his WBO title against mandatory challenger, American Eddie Chambers in the German city of Dusseldorf on March 20.

Klitschko said that he could also fight twice in the United States if he can get one of the major broadcasters, like HBO, to show his fights.

In June 2009, Wladimir should have fought Britain's David Haye, however, the latter suddenly experienced a back injury that caused the fight to be called off. The Ukrainian boxer decided to fight Ruslan Chagaev of Russia. An arm injury that Klitschko sustained in the Chagaev bout caused him to miss out on another fight. The older brother of Wladimir, WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko, fought three times in 2009, beating Juan Carlos Gomez, Chris Arreola and Kevin Johnson.
