President Viktor Yushchenko is concerned about elaboration of 2010 Budget, particularly the Prime Minister’s statement that the Government will not submit draft budget to the Parliament in 2009, as well as about the fact that there is no budget resolution approved in advance, he said speaking at a regional forum of the Ukrainian Intellectuals Congress in Odessa.
"What about the election? Who will finance it? From what sources? ", he said.
The President also expressed his critical assessment of the 2009 Budget, where 50 percent of expenditures do not have sources of funding, while the Government solves this situation by taking loans and thus has increasing state debt to 285 billion UAH. "This will definitely not ensure high pensions or economic stability", said Yushchenko.
