Last week the hryvnia essentially strengthened on the US dollar and euro. Particularly, at the bidding on the interbank currency market last week, the dollar quotations fell to 8.08-8.10 UAH/USD, and the euro to 12.02-12.05 UAH/EUR.

Finance Ministry predicting hryvnya strengthening after presidential elections
According to Deputy Finance Minister Oleksandr
Savchenko, the US dollar rate in Ukraine will be keeping at about UAH 8
/ USD 1 until the presidential elections.The hryvnia must be much
stronger, and will start strengthening after the elections, he said, National radio reported.
