As a bottom line of Ukraine –EU summit, President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko hopes to sign a document, which would give an analysis of the done work at the negotiations on Agreement on association.
“The summit has to be effective. Without any hesitation there has to be a base document and we will sign it”, he said today in Brussels to Ukrainian journalists after the meeting with President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso, UNIAN reported.
He underlined again that the dialogue between Ukraine and the European Union is one of the most efficient during the whole history of bilateral relations. Yushchenko believes the agreement on association will be one of the most strong agreement among those, which were signed by the EU with eastern countries.
President Viktor Yushchenko and his wife Kateryna Yushchenko went with the official visit to the Kingdom of Belgium.
Within the framework of the two-day visit President is scheduled to meet the King of the Belgians Albert II, European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso, the President of the European Parliament Jerzy Buzek, President of the Senate of Belgium Armand De Decker, President of Belgian Chamber of Representatives Patrick Dewael and the Prime Minister Herman Van Rompuy.
