Should the law of new social standards be adopted in its current wording, First Deputy Head of the President's Secretariat Oleksandr Shlapak will recommend that President Viktor Yushchenko veto it.
The key problem of the law is that it may unbalance the national budget, Shlapak says. Verkhovna Rada passed the bill on subsistence minimum and wage floor in 2010 on October 6 in first reading.

Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko called the bill an atomic bomb planted into the state finance system. She says actually one more national budget is required to make payments under the new social standards.
