On the air of a TV program Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Lytvyn said that there will be no opposition in the parliament if BYuT leader Yulia Tymoshenko is elected as President of Ukraine.
“As a result of the victory, there will be no opposition because those who are calling themselves oppositionists now, will rush to do fealty”, Volodymyr Lytvyn said.
And, on the contrary, according to Lytvyn, in case the leader of the Party of Regions Viktor Yanukovych wins the presidential election, “he will have a strong opposition”. “Tymoshenko may work enthusiastically either in opposition or in power”, Speaker noted. He added though enthusiasm does not mean efficiency.
