Commenting on the results of the Ukrainian President's visit to
Turkmenistan President's Commissioner
for International Energy Security Bohdan Sokolovsky informed that Ukraine expects to renew supplies of Turkmen gas provisionally in 2015.
"A provisional data is 2015,
when Turkmenistan plans to produce 120-150 billion cu. m. of gas a
year, which exceeds its current export obligations," he believes.
Sokolovsky said that the Ukrainian authorities should first of all
settle the issue of transit of Turkmen gas via Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan
and Russia, and then broker a relevant deal with Turkmenistan.
