President Viktor Yuschenko will take part in the 64th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations in New York September 21 through September 23.

Ukrainian News learned this from a statement by the press service of the President.

President Yuschenko will deliver a speech at the session of the General Assembly to brief the world community on priorities of the domestic and foreign policies of Ukraine and on the progress of democratic reforms in the country.

The Ukrainian president will touch in his speech the topics of peace and tolerance between ethnic groups, commemoration of victims of the fascism and the Holodomor famine of 1932-1933.

President Viktor Yuschenko is scheduled to meet with leaders of Brazil, Lithuania, Finland, Sweden, NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen, and Jacques Diouf, Director-General Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.

According to the statement, Yuschenko is scheduled to meet with representatives of the Ukrainian community of the United States, representatives of the US business circles, political scientists, and experts.

President Viktor Yuschenko will also deliver a speech at the Foreign Relations Council.
