Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko and her team involving members of Cabinet of Ministers and spokesmen for the public have represented the National budget of Ukraine for 2010.
Prime Minister claimed that her government was able to build up the most efficient economic policy as compared to other teams which might get the power.
The Head of the government called President Viktor Yushchenko’s criticism of level of the budget deficit ungrounded. “We priced in the budget estimates 3,9 percents of the budget deficit for 2010. President told it was an overrated budget deficit and it had to be at most 3 percents”, Yulia Tymoshenko said.
Speaking about improvement of social standards, Yulia Tymoshenko assured everybody of initiating the rise in minimum wages from UAH 669 per month up to UAH 778 per month in 2010.
The budget deficit for 2009 might come to 5 percents of gross domestic product (GDP), Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko did not rule out adding that it might amount to less than 5 percents of GDP.
Prime Minister promises that Ukraine will return UAH 42 mn of foreign loans till the end of the year adding that it includes foreign loans of national monopoly companies and corporations. The head of the government emphasized the international image of Ukraine as a reliable partner will be confirmed.
On September 14 the national stock company Naftogaz of Ukraine began negotiations with creditors within a framework of foreign loan restructuring. The company hopes to complete restructuring of foreign loans to the foreign banks in the amount of US $1,6 bn till 2010.
The budget estimates will be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine already today, Yulia Tymoshenko promised.
By the way, Prime Minister doubts that the world financial and economic crisis will come to the end till 20100. However, she added with pleasure that there are some positive tendencies in the economy of Ukraine.
The government promised to increase financing of defense sphere and security sphere up to UAH 38,7 bn in 2010 (UAH 35,2 bn in 2009), Prime Minister reported.
The draft law of Ukraine “On the national budget of Ukraine for 2010” has been registered in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Mignews reported.
