This was voiced by Viktor Yanukovych in his interview on the Inter television channel. The dissolution of the Verkhovna Rada and the holding of early parliamentary elections are ineffective steps, he said.
In Yanukovych's opinion, these steps would "bring only a worsening of the situation, a further destabilization which is impossible in our country's current situation". He believes the Parliament has a number of issues that require the Parliament's immediate consideration and this is why the Verkhovna Rada should work on.
