Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko has said he hopes that an agreement of association between the European Union and Ukraine will be signed in the coming months. He was speaking at a freshmen welcome ceremony for Bohomolets National Medical University, an UKRINFORM correspondent reported.

"I hope that within three or four months, we'll sign this important agreement for Ukraine," Yushchenko said.

He also said that this document would be one of the most comprehensive agreements ever signed by the EU. "This agreement will automatically foresee an agreement on creating a free trade area between Ukraine and the EU, trade without restrictions, and cooperation in four dimensions - trade in goods, services, assets, and human resources exchange," Yushchenko said.

He also said that "all countries of the third and fourth waves of joining the European Union signed association agreements."
