The Gov’t will initiate holding of a joint sitting with the National Bank and Council on Recapitalization of Banks. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko announced during a press conference on Wednesday, government portal reported.
Yulia Tymoshenko emphasized during such meeting it is necessary to approve joint decisions dedicated to the issues contained in the open letter of the Government to the NBU, notably, concerning saving of Nadra Bank, Ukrprombank and 13 small banks that ceased serving the clients.
The Premier reminded the Government had already nationalized three banks and was ready to support all the problem banks that need help nowadays: “But it is vital for the Government, the NBU and Council on Recapitalization of Banks to act as a single powerful organism and to perform joint, well-balanced and coordinated actions”.
