The Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko and Prime Minister of Russia Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday during which they discussed holding in October in Ukraine of the fifth Ukraine-Russia Economic Committee and agreed preliminary agenda of the event. Among the issues for consideration are joint serial production of An-70 aircraft and other directions of economic cooperation, government portal reported.

The parties also confirmed positive and effective bilateral cooperation in implementation of the bilateral gas Agreement on supplies to Ukraine and transit of the Russian gas to Europe.

The Heads of Government of Ukraine and the Russian Federation highly estimated implementation of the Gas Agreement by the two sides.

During the telephone talk the interlocutors also agreed on holding on September 1 of the current year a bipartite meeting of the Prime Ministers of Ukraine and Russia in Poland where Yulia Tymoshenko and Vladimir Putin would stay on invitation of the Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk.

The Head of Ukrainian Government Yulia Tymoshenko congratulated her counterpart Vladimir Putin on successful holding of Aircraft Salon MAX-2009. Both sides positively evaluated signing of Protocol between Ukraine and Russia on start of serial production of An-70 aircrafts which took place during this event.

The conversation of the leaders of Governments of Ukraine and Russia was friendly and constructive.
