Ukrainian President Viktor Yuschenko will take part in the festivities to mark the Day of National Flag and the Day of Independence of Ukraine, Interfax-Ukraine reported.
Yuschenko's press secretary Iryna Vannykova said this at a briefing in Kyiv on Monday.
According to Vannykova, on August 21, the president will deliver an address at the Ukraina National Palace of Culture to representatives of the Ukrainian Diaspora, who will come to Kyiv to participate at the Art Festival "Come Together."
Besides, on August 23 marking the Day of the State Flag of Ukraine, the ceremony of raising the national flag will be held in all the regions of Ukraine. The Ukrainian president will take part in such a ceremony in front of Mariinsky Palace in Kyiv, the press secretary said.
