Over 11 months of this marketing year (marketing year, September 2008-August 2009), Ukraine exported, according to preliminary data,1.95 million tons of sunflower seed oil, 44.4% up against the same period of the previous marketing year, the Agricultural Policy Ministry informs.
Including, in July, sunflower seed oil export made up 189 thousand tons against 82.8 thousand tons in July 2008 and 208 thousand tons in June 2009, UkrInform reported.
Since the beginning of current marketing year, oil and fat enterprises of Ukraine produced 2.36 million tons of oil, 40% more against 11 months of 2007/2008 marketing year.
According to the State Statistics Committee, last year Ukraine gathered 6,526 million tons of sunflower seeds against 4,173 million tons in 2007.
