"Creative activities of the great master oblige us, his fellow countrymen, to revere memory about this outstanding person, to care for preservation of unique historical places related to his name", Kharkiv Governor Arsen Avakov said during celebrations.
During these same days, the Repin Memorial Museum in Chuhuyiv marks its 40th anniversary of foundation, and the Picture Gallery named I. Repin Prize Winners marks the 25th anniversary of opening the first exposition. These cultural establishments are centers for popularization of the artist's great heritage. Unique exhibits are collected there related to Repin's life and creative activities.
