Acting Foreign Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Khandohiy has sent a letter to newly appointed Secretary General of NATO Anders Fogh Rasmussen, the ministry's press service reported on Tuesday, Interfax-Ukraine reported.
Khandohiy assured the new secretary general that Ukraine is still working on meeting the NATO membership criteria under the first Ukraine-NATO Annual National Program.
He said he hoped that Rasmussen would support the Euro-Atlantic integration plans of Ukraine.
