Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Chief Valentyn Nalyvaichenko and President of the Polish Institute of National Remembrance Janusz Kurtyka have signed an agreement on cooperation in the archives sector, ForUm informs, referring to UkrInform.

Nalyvaichenko said that the document was the next step in implementing the Ukrainian president's decree on declassifying and studying archival documents related to the Ukrainian liberation movement, political repressions and famines in Ukraine.

The sides said that the creation of a book entitled "Poland and Ukraine in the 1930s-1940s. Unknown Documents from the Archives of Special Services" had become the result of long-standing cooperation between the SBU and the Institute of National Remembrance.
