Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has met with Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill, according to Interfax-Ukraine.

The meeting took place at Kyiv Pechersk Monastery, the governmental press service reported.

Its participants discussed the relations between the church and the state, the issues of spiritual revival and return to Christian values, as well as the problems of Orthodoxy in Ukraine.

"I have come to pray together with people, because I believe in extraordinary strength of prayer," Patriarch Kirill said at the beginning of the meeting.

Tymoshenko, in turn, noted that at such a difficult moment, when not only Ukraine, but all the countries are living through hardships, people need willpower, spiritual strength and hope.
