The future president and premier should be from one team, Regions Party leader Viktor Yanukovych said, Interfax-Ukraine reported.
"It is possible to have only one team in Ukraine. It is impossible to form two effective teams in Ukraine. Only one team can be strong, efficient and capable of realizing its goals," Yanukovych said on Ukrainian television's 5th channel on Saturday night.
Yanukovych said that taking into account the number of professionals in the teams of the various political forces, "it will be very difficult to compete with us [the Regions Party]. It is impossible. We obviously have a very strong team."
At the same time, other political forces also have professionals capable of effective work, Yanukovych said.
"Speaking about the unity of the state, we should never disregard these people, even if they are from other political forces," he added.
