Tymoshenko and Yatsenyuk cannot divide Obama’s strategist?

The chief strategist of Barack Obama’s election campaign, current senior counselor of U.S. president David Axelrod, who is called the father of Obama’s victory, has begun to work for Arseniy Yatsenyuk, Zerkalo nedeli weekly reported. The final decision about it will be made during the visit of U.S. vice president Joseph Baiden to Ukraine in late July, MIGnews reported.

Yatsenyuk’s press secretary Andriy Zhyhulin neither confirmed nor refuted the data, Segodnya reports. But Tymoshenko’s surrounding (who is the main competitor of Yatsenyuk in the struggle for the second place in the first round of elections and for West’s favor) is indignant at the relations between Axelrod and Arseniy Yatsenyuk.

“Axelrod had never attended Yatsenyuk’s headquarters. But when it became clear that Yatsenyuk is working with Russian political scientists Tymofiy Serhiytsev, Dmytro Kulykov and Iskander Valytov, who worked in Yanukovych’s headquarters in 2004, Yatsenyuk’s headquarters started a false report on Axelrod. The Russians were famous for advertisement of “Ukraine of 3 kinds” – where Yushchenko galloped over the map of Ukraine as a cowboy. The western electors of Yatsenyuk would not like it”, the political scientist Taras Berezovets said.

One of Tymoshenko’s political technologists said yesterday unanimously that Axelrod is working for Prime Minister. “Last year Premier had a meeting with him in Ukraine. He will be consulting her. Internet social networks, SMS voting will be involved into agitation”, the source state. The Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc (BYuT) is not commenting on it.

However, experts doubt that politicians will spend much money for the foreigners. “Our technologists would like to earn US $50,000-60,000 for 3 months of election campaign. The well-known American PR expert will earn US $200,000-300,000 for a training like “How to realize oneself in the antirecessionary Ukraine”. That is why it is possible to attract them only as councilors and pay them up to US $1,000 per hour”, the political scientist and PR manager Artem Bidenko says.
