The price for Russian gas will come to US $198 per 1,000 cu m for Ukraine in the third quarter of 2009, Gazprom official spokesman Sergey Kupriyanov reported, according to MIGnews.
According to him, the figures in the amount of US $194 and US $155 per 1,000 cu m for the third and fourth quarters correspondingly were only the expected accounts. As of today, taking into consideration changing of the situation at oil products market the price for the third quarter has been corrected.
The expected price for gas for the fourth quarter is US $155 per 1,000 cu m, but it will be specified in accordance with a formal that has been mentioned in gas agreements between Ukraine and Russia, RBC-Ukraine cites Sergey Kupriyanov as saying.
As a reminder, in the first quarter of 2009 the price for gas amounted to US $360 per 1,000 cu m for consumers in Ukraine. In the second quarter 2009 the price for gas came to US $280 per 1,000 cu m for Ukraine.
