BYuT intends to appoint the election date of the President already tomorrow. The leader of the BYuT faction Ivan Kyrylenko said that today in the VRU, the ForUm’s correspondent informs.

“Our faction agreed on the date of election on January 17, 2010, let’s vote and put an end in this issue,” he noted.

Kyrylenko also offered to consider changes into the law on President’s election which foresees decrease of election campaign from 120 days to 90 days.

As a reminder, the election date of the President is not set yet. In April MPs voted for October 25, 2009 but the Constitutional Court admitted such decision as unconstitutional.

Party of Regions considers January 17 is the most appropriate date for the election. The President’s Secretariat is of the same opinion.
