Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko says that the total internal debt on gas payments to Naftogaz Ukraine makes UAH 26 billion, including UAH 7.7 billion debt of heating and communal companies. Yulia Tymoshenko said that today during the meeting with governors concerning payment for the consumed gas, the ForUm’s correspondent informs.
“How the government and Naftogaz mayplay such extraordinary tricks with gas payments to Russia, when the whole country owes UAH 26 billion for gas –is this the money we could pay for the gas consumed during a whole year?” Yulia Tymoshenko stressed.
The Prime Minister believes that the situation with internal payments for gas is extraordinary, complicated, tense, and dangerous. “Every month the debts are growing, accumulating, and turning into a real tragedy for the country”, she added.
” I think the situation on gas payments is a very complicated, tense and even dangerous And every month this sum is increasing, accumulating and turns into a threat for the country,” Prime Minister said.
Yulia Tymoshenko stressed that today none of the participants of the meeting would not leave the room until they find a decision and mechanisms to pay out the debts to Naftogaz.
