Prime Minister of the RF Vladimir Putin informed that Russia had paid for transit of gas to Europe through the territory of Ukraine til 2010, having transferred USD 2.2 billion to Kyiv.
“We have paid for transit of our gas to Europe till 2010. In fact it is a credit in amount of USD 2.2 billion,” Putin said, in scope of the meeting with the head of “Gazprom” Aleksey Miller on Wednesday.
Putin noted that ‘these are significant resources which our Ukrainian partners got from Russia.”
“I hope the discipline within the current gas agreements will be fulfilled from two sides,” he added.
