
Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko says that Kyiv will not see similar situation on gas like it was in January 2009. Now Kyiv is expecting the decision of the European banks on loan for Naftogaz Ukraine for payment for Russian gas.
She said that today in Luxemburg at the press conference.
Yulia Tymoshenko also added that issue on loans also was discussed during today’s session of the Ukraine-EU council on cooperation.
Tymoshenko expressed confidence that the issue of stable gas supplies is equally important for the EU, as well as for Ukraine and Russia.
According to Tymoshenko, the negotiation on granting loan was constructive and Ukraine now is expecting the final decision. There are no grounds for worsening of relations in gas sphere.
Yulia Tymoshenko assured that there will be not gas crisis.
As a reminder, earlier the Russian PM Vladimir Putin called the EU leaders to solve the problem on gas transit jointly and together.
