Representatives of non-governmental organizations and enterprises of Kyiv are rallying outside the Verkhovna Rada on Wednesday demanding the immediate dismissal of capital city mayor Leonid Chernovetsky, ForUm informs, referring to Kyiv Post.
Over 300 people are protesting in front of the parliament.
They are holding the mottoes: "Who will overpower Chernovetsky," "Let's bury corruption in the city of Kyiv," "MPs! Save Kyiv from disaster," etc.
The parliament was previously scheduled to consider on Wednesday a report of a temporary investigative commission into the misuse of power by Kyiv authorities. At the same time, the current agenda doesn't include this issue.
The protesters promised MPs that Wednesday's rally is only a start of a long-lasting campaign aimed at the replacement of Kyiv mayor.
